The Guilds’ $12 Million Commitment Through Two Endowments Expand Care for Kids in Need
Kids at Valley Children’s count on the exceptional care we provide – and it takes a community to make that possible. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that endowments made by the Guilds of Valley Children’s – who have already invested $6 million to establish the Guilds Center for Community Health – have committed to funding two new endowments totaling $12 million to expand life-saving care for children.
The Guilds Center for Community Health is a pioneering initiative, dedicated to improving children’s health beyond the walls of the hospital and across California’s Central Valley. For generations, the Guilds of Valley Children’s have been instrumental in making this vision a reality, focusing on what truly matters: helping kids thrive where they live, learn and play.
Over the years, the Guilds have raised more than $35 million for life-changing projects, from surgical and imaging equipment to a state-of-the-art heliport and five existing endowments totaling $14 million. Their newest $12 million commitment marks their largest yet and includes:
- $10 million: Guilds Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Endowment, providing life-saving care for children in critical need of heart or lung support.
- $2 million: Guilds Endowment, to directly enhance various units across Valley Children’s, ensuring every child receives exceptional care.
