Valley Children’s Earns Prestigious 2024 Leapfrog Top Children’s Hospital Award – A Testament to Our Commitment to Kids

Valley Children’s Earns Prestigious Eureka Award for Performance Excellence
Valley Children’s has been recognized with the Eureka Silver Award by the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) Program, making it the highest statewide honor for performance excellence awarded in 2024. This prestigious recognition, based on the Baldrige Framework for Performance Excellence, highlights the hospital’s dedication to innovation, continuous improvement and visionary leadership.
Valley Children’s is one of only two organizations to receive this advanced distinction, and the only children’s hospital in California to achieve this level of recognition. Receiving it underscores our commitment to delivering the highest standard of pediatric care, ensuring that every child receives world-class treatment close to home.

Valley Children’s PICU Earns National Recognition with Silver Beacon Award
Valley Children’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) has once again been recognized for its commitment to exceptional care, earning the prestigious Silver Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). This marks the fifth time the PICU has received this honor, a testament to the unit’s dedication to providing expert care for critically ill children, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for staff.
The Beacon Award is a highly respected three-year designation that recognizes units demonstrating excellence in leadership, staff engagement, evidence-based practices and positive patient outcomes. Our PICU achieved this recognition by meeting rigorous standards for communication, outcome measurement and ongoing quality improvement. The award highlights the PICU’s focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality care, tailored to the unique needs of young patients and their families.
