A Commitment to Compassionate Care
We believe that taking care of our patients is just as important as taking care of each other. This value of compassionate care is the driving force behind our All for You peer support program, designed to assist healthcare professionals through challenging circumstances.
The All for You peer support initiative offers a listening ear and guidance from fellow staff members who share their own lived experiences. Nearly 40 staff members have made a personal commitment to support colleagues after a triggering event, and we’re actively recruiting more volunteers to strengthen the support network.
“Although my work at Valley Children’s is incredibly rewarding, caring for children who are sick and injured, and sometimes at the end of their journey, can be difficult,” said Robb Smith, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit manager and All for You peer supporter. “Our staff members, myself included, need to know that they do not walk this journey alone.”
